Did I miss anything? I was absent yesterday.

Yes. You missed a lot. You need to read the material we covered in the textbook, complete any assignments that were given, and check you folder for handouts or missing work. You can use this website to see what we covered. You should never ask me if you missed anything because you know did and now you know how to find the information.

Do we have homework?

Yes. You have homework every week. At a minimum you should be reading the text as we go in class. I also assign additional homework on Monday and Wednesday. The homework for Monday is due Tuesday (the next day) and the homework for Wednesday is a due Thursday (the next day).

What is my grade?
Your grade is on PowerSchool. You will be given a username and password at the beginning of the school year. Don't forget your password. What is on PowerSchool is what I have in my gradebook. I realize it may be more convenient for you to simply have me look up your grade for you, but this is simply not possible for me to do for every student, so as a matter of policy I do not look up grades for individual students. I will let you use classroom computers to look up your grades at the end of each class if you so request. In my experience students who check their grades often get better final grades and are less likely to fall in academic trouble.

Can I hand in an assignment late?
Yes. Yes. Yes.  You can hand in something late for consideration, but you will need to understand once the assignment is four days late you will lose 5 points per day. It is however, always better to hand an assignment in late than to simply not do it at all.

Can I sign out a book?
Books are available to be signed out. Please see me at the end of class.

I turned in my late work, how come my grade has not changed?
It will take longer for late work to be graded. The best way to make sure your grade is up to date is to hand work in on time.

Do I have to answer the question in complete sentences?
Yes, you have to answer all questions in complete sentences.

I lost my assignment and I need another copy, what should I do?
You may find an extra digital copy on the website, usually in the "Unit" section. If you can not get it there, please see me after class and I will give you an extra copy. Please note that do to the extremely tight schedule I may not be able to produce an extra copy immediately. I will most likely ask you to come back and pick it up outside my classroom door.

May I retake a test?
Yes. You may make up a test in accordence to CCPS policy.

Can I do extra credit? Will It bring my grade up?
Yes you can do extra credit. Here is some to start. Extra Credit I will not make any promisses regarding how much doing the extra credit will bring up your grade.
